   When I first installed OS X, back when it was still beta, I tried my hand with Mac programming. It was easier than I expected, but still too much for me to pursue as a hobby. I haven’t seriously looked at it since, but I know it’s come a long, long way — especially with the development of XCode.

   As a relatively new ham, I’ve surveyed the Mac landscape of software and have been somewhat disappointed. I keep thinking that I’m going to probably end up getting it some myself.

   I agree you should get a new Mac. I’m happy to support anyone who wants to justify that sort of purchase. ;-)

   Why would you want to spend time doing this? Is it because you don’t have anything else to do?
   I am sure you have better things to do than reinvent the wheel. You do have something better to do, don’t you?

   You might also want to check out Realbasic. It’s a multi-platform system for making mac, pc and linux programs.

   Thanks for the reminder, Todd. I looked at this at one point, but it seemed pretty expensive. Looking at this again, it looks like the personal edition is $100, which doesn’t seem too bad. Are there mailing lists and/or websites where schmucks like me can get help?
