Julius, N2WN, posted a link to this video of F8BBL working CW without a key on the Elecraft mailling list. He has pretty good technique, I think. Maybe in the next video, he’ll use three fingers in iambic mode. :)
Put on a PL-259 in Six Minutes!
While I was on YouTube, I also found a couple of videos that show you how to solder a PL-259 onto coax in six minutes!
This guy is good. It takes me a lot longer than six minutes to solder on a PL-259.
Where was this when I needed it???? ha. ha. Actually, I have an Elmer that showed me how to do it, but the video seems to be quite good. My connectors don’t get hot as fast as his did, though. I’ll share this one with the local ham crowd. It is sure to get a good discussion going about the ‘right’ way to do it.
