Altoid Tins: Not Just for Amateurs Anymore!

This note from Jason NT7S appeared on the new qrp-l mailling list:

Check out this whitepaper from Maxim. They recommend that engineers use Altoids tins to house their test circuits so that they are well shielded and protected. They also have a neat recommendation that I haven’t seen around before. The paper recommends placing the circuit schematic right on the top of the lid for easy reference. See this link for pictures and the whitepaper.

I agree with Jason. Pasting the circuit schematic inside the cover means you won’t lose it.

So I swing by here for my regular round of ham blog browsing, when I notice this post. Imagine my surprise to see my comments on your blog! I like the schematics idea, and I’ll probably give it a shot next time I put a circuit in a tin. Thanks for the good stuff on your blog, and keep up the great work Dan. 73, Jason NT7S
